My First Wedding!

This past weekend I had the honor and privilege to cater wedding desserts for a beautiful couple’s wedding. Not only did I make the cake for this peacock themed event, but I was also was commissioned to set up a dessert bar with “tapas themed” treats. The bite-sized desserts included three kids of brownies, mini red velvet cupcakes, two kinds of sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies, tiny fruit pizzas, and six different variations of cake pops. Phew!

The obsessive planning, intense stress, three-a-day Publix runs, and the exhausting thirty minutes between finishing catering and actually attending the wedding were meaningless when I saw the look on the groom’s face seeing his bride in her wedding dress. In one moment everything became worth it. The couple loved the wedding cake and the cake pops were a hit! I’m so grateful that I could contribute something to make their day memorable and perfect.
