Ho-Ho-Hold on to your candy canes! These peppermint flavored sugar cookies had just the right amount of mint to tingle your taste-buds. The Hershey’s Candy Cane Kiss in the center was the best part so I ate around the chocolate savoring it for the last creamy bite. Candy Cane Kiss Cookies
Adapted from: Our Best Bites
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 – 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon extract
1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
1 bag Hershey’s Candy Cane Kisses
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
In another bowl, beat together the butter and sugar until fluffy
Beat in egg, vanilla extract, lemon extract and peppermint extract.
Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, and press a candy cane kiss into the center.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned
Let Cook 2-3 minutes before pressing Hershey’s Candy Cane Kiss into center
Let fully cool
