This is one of those recipes where I saw the picture and immediately had to bake it. To me, the way food is presented accounts for a large portion of how badly I want to eat it. Thus, why my homepage is http://www.foodporndaily.com (you will now waste the next 10 minutes of your life drooling over this webpage.) I thought these cookies would be a great idea for my second Thornebrook Village Farmer’s Market. People really seemed to like the clever name and I got great taste feedback on them. This was my first time using pudding mix in a cookie but I really liked what it did to the texture and I have some more ideas for variations based on this concept. These cookies truly were “oh my gosh!”
Adapted From: The Girl Who Ate Everything
1 cup butter, room temperature
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
1 package instant Oreo Pudding mix
2 1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 Hershey’s Cookies N Cream Candy Bars broken into small pieces
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
-Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
-Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl and set aside.
-Cream together butter and sugars.
-Beat in pudding mix until blended.
-Add the eggs and vanilla and mix well.
-Add the flour mixture and mix to combine.
-Stir in cookies n’ cream pieces and chocolate chips. Batter will be thick.
-Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes. You do not want to overbake these!
Let cookies cool for 5 minutes on baking sheet before moving to a cooking rack.
