Waffles Galore!

A trio of undoubtedly satisfying waffle recipes coming atcha’! With choices like Classic Buttermilk, Chocolate and Whole Wheat, your stomach will be left feeling full of breakfast-y goodness. There are so many ways to make your own custom waffle so get creative!

Classic Buttermilk Waffles
From: The Food Network

3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 egg
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
3/4 teaspoon vanilla

-In a medium bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; mix well.
-Add the milk, vegetable oil, egg, sugar and vanilla and mix well.
-Prepare waffle according to waffle iron directions

Chocolate Waffles
From: Annie’s Eats

1½ cups all-purpose flour
3 tbsp sugar
½ cup cocoa powder
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
½ tsp. baking soda
3 large eggs, beaten
4 tbsp. butter, melted and slightly cooled
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 cups buttermilk, at room temperature

-In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt and baking soda.  Whisk to blend. 
-In another bowl combine the eggs, butter, vanilla and buttermilk. Whisk to blend well. 
-Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients just until incorporated.
-Prepare waffle according to waffle iron directions

Whole Wheat Waffles
From: Momma Hen’s Kitchen

2 cups whole wheat flour
1/4 cup sugar
3 tablespoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups milk
3 eggs
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 

-Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.  
-Add milk, eggs, vegetable oil and vanilla extract. -Prepare waffle according to waffle iron directions
