For years now I’ve been celebrating Christmas at my best friend Ariel’s house. Her family is basically my second family and I love seeing them during this time of the year because they go absolutely crazy for Christmas. Luckily, it’s the decorate-with-a-billion-Santa-hats-and-snowflakes kind and not the face-elbow-that-guy-for-taking-the-last-wii type. Among their many Christmas traditions my favorite is definitely making holiday sugar cookies. The recipe they use has been passed down through their family since the 1800′s!!! We spend the whole afternoon making a whole production out of baking, frosting, decorating, and sprinkling these buttery shortbread cookies.
